What future for history dependence in spatial economics?

چکیده
History (sometimes) matters for the location and sizes of cities neighborhood segregation patterns within cities. Together with evidence on rapid change self-fulfilling expectations, this implies that nature might not completely determine spatial structure economy. Instead, economy be characterized by multiple equilibria or steady-state equilibrium paths, where history expectations can play decisive roles. Better conditions under which help improve theory policy analysis.
